READING PROGRAM
Reading is fundamental. The reading
program is designed to get students on
the right reading track. This program
will assist students in improving their
reading and comprehension with the
goal of getting students reading at or
above their grade levels.
Duration: 6 sessions, 2 hours each

ARTS AND CRAFTS
Intro to Clay: Venture into the world of
clay! This class is for beginners only.
We will explore the basics of how to
work clay and create simple projects,
using coil, pinch and slab title
techniques. Students will be
encouraged to paint their finished
projects in the last class. Dress for the
mess, this is a very hands on class.
One 5-lb. box of self hardening clay
(grey or white) not crayola modeling
clay, required for 1st class.

Water Colors: This is a class for the
younger artist. We will begin by
learning the basic of proper brush care,
paint application and simple
techniques while we paint our
masterpiece. This class is designed to
give students a positive and enjoyable
introduction to watercolors.

Kids can Cook: this course will offer
your child a basic intro to the kitchen,
including safety, simple use of utensils
and measuring. Recipes are designed
for kids! And kids get to eat their
delicious creations!

Junior Scientist: This class allows
children to use their imagination while
participating in hands-on scientific
experiments appropriate for this age

COMPUTER
Computer Basics – Excel: Basic
spreadsheet, changing column widths,
Spell checking, formatting cells, basic
arithmetic formulas, and the SUM
function, and copying and moving data.
After this course you will be able to create
a basic Excel spreadsheet with simple
formatting. The class is hands on; each
person will have their own computer to
work on. An overview manual and a disk
complete with class exercises are
included in the cost.

Computer Basics – Word: Will provide
overview of: orientation of the Word
screen, using the help features
understanding word wrap, deleting and
restoring text, using the toolbar, spell
checking, auto correct, thesaurus,
templates, commands for short
document-margins, data command,
fonts, commands for a long document,
document - center text, flush right text,
page numbering, selecting text, copying
and moving text. After this course you will
be able to create a basic word document
with simple formatting. The class is
hands on; each person will have their
own computer to work on. An overview
manual and a disk complete with class
exercises are included in the
cost.

ACT PREP CLASS
The ACT test is a very important test for
your child. Most colleges and universities
consider this test one of the most
important criteria for acceptance and
scholarships. There are two spring
testing dates for the ACT, they are in April
and June of 2007. We encourage you to
have your child sign up for one of these
test dates.

Established and accomplished tutors
assist students 1 on 1 in 1 hour
increments. Topic available for tutoring;

Trigonometry, Reading, English,
Comprehension, Science,
Geography.
Duration: 1 hour increments
Price: $20 per hour
Homework help by assisting students
with their day to day homework and
studies in a group setting. Group
tutoring on various subjects in a formal
and informal setting. Once a week
specific academic topics will be focused
on, discussed and tutoring will be based
around.
